Role Overview – Area Sales Manager
Our client, a long-standing and highly regarded engineering services business, is looking to appoint an Area Sales Manager to support continued growth across the UK and Europe.
Key Responsibilities – Area Sales Manager
- Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients
- Visit customer sites to assess requirements and recommend suitable solutions
- Act as a key contact for all customer enquiries relating to products and services
- Effectively manage your own schedule to optimise customer engagement
- Produce detailed quotations and proposals alongside internal teams
- Lead negotiations and manage the full sales cycle
- Monitor order progress to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction
- Prepare and maintain accurate sales and contract documentation
- Provide ongoing aftersales care to strengthen long-term partnerships
- Liaise with production teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Build and maintain relationships with agents where relevant
Key Experience & Qualifications – Area Sales Manager
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification
- Proven experience in B2B technical sales
- Experience managing and developing a sales territory
- Background in capital equipment, foundry services, or industrial maintenance is beneficial
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build credibility and trust with a wide range of stakeholders
- Self-driven with a strong focus on achieving results
- High level of attention to detail and adaptability
