Hillsborough sits where the River Loxley meets the Don in north Sheffield, built around the tram and bus interchange on Langsett Road. The Sheffield Wednesday ground is nearby on Leppings Lane, in neighbouring Owlerton. Hillsborough Interchange is served by the Blue and Yellow tram routes, which each run every ten minutes on weekdays into the city centre, giving a combined frequency of about five minutes towards the Cathedral stop. Sheffield station, about three miles away, runs to London St Pancras in around two hours on the Midland Main Line.
