Procurement Coordinator

• Annual Salary: £32,000 - £35,000
• Location: Sheffield
• Job Type: Full-time
• Hours: Days based role - with early finish Fridays & Flexi Time Available

Role Summary

We are recruiting for a Procurement Coordinator to join a leading manufacturing business in Sheffield. This role will be responsible for managing supplier performance, coordinating material supply, and ensuring inventory levels are aligned with production requirements. Working closely with Procurement, Manufacturing and Logistics teams, you'll play a key role in maintaining a reliable supply chain and supporting on time customer delivery within a fast paced engineering environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Manage a portfolio of suppliers, negotiating competitive rates and overseeing performance.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to balance production needs and minimise excess.
• Address supplier delivery issues by identifying causes and implementing solutions.
• Collaborate with Logistics and Manufacturing teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct supplier visits to assess and enhance performance and relationships.
• Utilise ERP and MRP systems to manage purchase requirements effectively.
• Maintain high standards of data integrity and operational efficiency across internal systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in procurement or supply chain within the manufacturing industry.
• Proficient in using ERP systems and working with MRP systems.
• Strong capability in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Desirable: Experience in the aerospace or aviation industry.
