Job Description:

We're looking for skilled and motivated HGV Technicians to join our Sheffield-based workshop on a permanent basis. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety, reliability and compliance of a modern fleet of commercial vehicles, carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance, servicing and repairs on HGVs and trailers.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment.
• Interpret instructions from job cards and repair orders, completing all work accurately and efficiently.
• Conduct vehicle inspections, defect reporting and MOT preparation.
• Accurately record work completed, tests carried out and parts used.
• Immediately report any additional work required or vehicle faults identified.
• Maintain allocated work areas in a clean, safe and tidy condition.
• Attend training courses and stay up to date with the latest vehicle technologies and manufacturer updates.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company policies and health and safety standards.
• Enhance the reputation of the business through professional workmanship and customer service.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, LGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of modern vehicle systems and repair techniques.
• A Class 1 or Class 2 licence would be advantageous but is not essential.

Alternating Early & Late Shifts

• Early: 6:00am - 2:00pm
• Late: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
