Health, Safety & Environmental Officer
South Yorkshire
Salary up to £45,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Officer to join an established manufacturing environment.

We are seeking a proactive and experienced individual to ensure HSE compliance, promote a positive safety culture and support continuous improvement across a busy manufacturing site.

You will be responsible for:

• Ensure compliance with HSE legislation, policies and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments, site inspections and audits.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, ensuring appropriate reporting.
• Support HSE management systems and ISO compliance.
• Monitor environmental compliance, including waste management.
• Provide HSE advice and guidance to employees and management.
• Identify and implement safety and environmental improvements.

You will ideally have:

• Previous HSE experience, ideally within manufacturing.
• NEBOSH General Certificate or willingness to work towards it.
• Good knowledge of HSE legislation and ISO standards.
• Experience with risk assessments, audits and incident investigations.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive approach with a commitment to workplace safety.
• IOSH or IEMA qualifications would be advantageous.
