Job Description:

Sue Ross Recruitment are working on behalf of a valued client to recruit a Project Support Officer for a six-month temporary assignment.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy project team and play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of large-scale transport and infrastructure programmes. The successful candidate will provide a combination of project, administrative, financial and stakeholder support, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and technical support to project teams.
• Organise meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes and monitor follow-up actions.
• Assist with the preparation of reports through the collection, extraction and analysis of data from a variety of sources.
• Maintain project documentation, including work programmes, risk registers and issue logs.
• Update and manage project information within project management systems and databases.
• Support procurement activities and liaise with external suppliers where required.
• Assist with project financial administration, including raising purchase orders, processing invoices and recording project costs.
• Support stakeholder engagement, consultation and communications activities.
• Monitor project progress and help ensure deadlines and key milestones are achieved.
• Provide general support across the wider project team as required.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

• GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
• Previous experience within a project support, project administration or business support role.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience of managing and prioritising a varied workload.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A professional, adaptable and proactive approach.
