Job Description:

Are you an experienced quality professional from a manufacturing or engineering environment looking to influence quality across an entire operation?

We’re looking for a Quality Manager to join an automotive business based in Worksop. You’ll oversee quality from incoming components and manufacturing processes through to final vehicle inspection, working collaboratively across the business to improve standards, solve problems and help prevent issues from recurring. This is a hands-on role where you’ll combine technical quality expertise with people leadership, supporting colleagues to make quality part of how we work every day.

What you’ll be doing:

• Overseeing quality across supplied components, manufacturing processes and final vehicle inspection.
• Managing, supporting and developing the PDI team.
• Maintaining our ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Ensuring vehicles meet relevant IVA, VBTA and Type Approval requirements.
• Working with suppliers and internal teams to investigate issues and agree effective solutions.
• Supporting internal audits, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Using continuous improvement tools including 5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D, 5S and Kaizen.
• Working closely with Production, Engineering and Purchasing to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Coaching colleagues and building quality knowledge across the operation.

What we’re looking for:

Experience within a manufacturing engineering environment is essential for this role.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Relevant experience in a quality role within manufacturing engineering.
• Experience managing or supervising a team.
• A working knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
• Experience with continuous improvement, Lean and 5S.
• A practical and considered approach to problem-solving.
• The ability to communicate clearly and build collaborative working relationships.
• Good attention to detail and an evidence-based approach to decision-making.
• A Level 5 vocational qualification in Manufacturing or Engineering, or equivalent.

Quality in this role goes much further than final inspection. You’ll have the opportunity to influence how products are manufactured, improve processes, develop your team and work with colleagues across the site to create practical, lasting improvements.

If you’ve developed your quality experience within a manufacturing environment and are looking for an opportunity to broaden your impact, we’d love to hear from you.
