This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful business with over 50 years of experience designing, manufacturing and installing high-quality seating and furniture for prestigious hotels, restaurants, bars and commercial venues throughout the UK.
No previous upholstery experience is required. If you have a positive attitude, enjoy working with your hands and are looking to build a long-term career, full training will be provided by experienced craftsmen.
The Role
As a Trainee Upholsterer, you'll receive hands-on training while learning every aspect of the upholstery process. Working alongside skilled upholsterers, you'll develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to produce high-quality bespoke furniture to the exceptional standards our client is known for.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to learn a trade and build a rewarding long-term career within manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities

• Learn the upholstery process from experienced team members.
• Assist in manufacturing bespoke seating, chairs, booths, banquettes and commercial furniture.
• Prepare materials, fabrics, leather and vinyl for production.
• Learn how to measure, cut and fit upholstery materials accurately.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
• Work as part of a friendly production team to meet customer deadlines.
• Develop the skills required to become a fully qualified upholsterer.

What We're Looking For

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good practical skills and an interest in working with your hands.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, woodworking, textiles, construction or DIY is beneficial but not essential.
• School leavers, college leavers, career changers and candidates looking to learn a skilled trade are all encouraged to apply.
